Bluecore 4 Chip
Bluecore 4 is CRS's latest Bluetooth chip, and the bluecore 4 headset device is designed specially for Bluetooth headsets. Briefly, it has the following features:
- Designed for headset application with integrated codec and battery charging circuit
- Very small from factor
- Very low power
- V1.2 Compliant
A host CPU is not required as the full Bluetooth software stack, including the headset application, will run on chip (on the 16 bit XAP2 risk processor that is used on the BC04 device) . Bluecore 3 audio flash and Bluecore 4-Audio Rom are single-chip radio and base band ICS for Bluetooth 2.4 GHZ systems. They are designed to reduce the number of external components required and thereby ensure production cost is minimized.
